The Heritage Voices Choir consists of 60-80 members from Heritage Reformed Congregation in Grand Rapids, Michigan and other local churches. Originally founded over 50 years ago, the choir aims to glorify a triune God through song. This ministry includes programs for the elderly 2-5 times per year, as well as free concerts performed during the Christmas and Easter seasons.
Meet the director: Rich TenElshof
Rich TenElshof’s has a deep passion for music that began before the age of 3. He has a love for traditional sacred instrumental and choral music. Rich has directed the Heritage Voices choir for many years. Prior to directing the choir he sang for the Calvin College Oratorio Society in Grand Rapids, MI for 8 years. Rich loves to play the piano and the organ and often plays during the choir concerts. He is married and has four children.
Meet the Organist: Ellis Meschke
Ellis Meschke has enjoyed playing the organ since the age of 8. He studied organ at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan and began serving as church organist in Kalamazoo at the age of 15. He now enjoys playing for the Heritage Reformed Congregation as church organist and accompanying the Heritage Voices Choir. He is married and has four children.
